Major Kusanagi is delegated with the task of tracking, infiltrating, and sometimes neutralizing the most cunning of cyber criminals and other terrorists. In such rapidly changing times, there is a covert heroine and team in our midsts, Major Motoko Kusanagi and the other members of Section 9. However with the evolution of man and invaluable information technology, there is also the evolution of crime and the criminals who commit it. There are now fully prosthetic bodies and a cyber brains to carry on one?s being that allows them to grow with the times. It is the not too distant future of the 21st century and there is an infinite amount of information traveling the planet on an expansive network.
